Ascus development in Chaetomium bostrychodes Zopf

Abstract
Development of asci in Chaetomium bostrychodes ZoPF has been studied. The asci develop directly from the ascogenous cells, without forming crozie rs. The nucleus divides and eight uninucleate ascospores are formed in each ascus.
