Abstract

Two new Potamogeton taxa were discovered in the Czech Republic: P. polygonifolius was found on five localities in the westernmost part of the country, near the town of Aš (Asch). These localities represent eastern limit of the Central European distribution of the species. P. × lintonii (P. crispus × P. friesii) was found in the Rozkoš reservoir in eastern Bohemia during the period 1988-1990. It is the first report of this hybrid from Central Europe. Plants collected at the Rozkoš reservoir have a higher variation range than that reported from western Europe.
