Abstract

T. procumbens C.A. Meyer, formerly given as T. brachyphyllum Boissier, is a noticeable relic of the Crimean mountain range Jajla. Being rather rare species in the Crimea, it represents one of the relatively few high mountain circumeuxine elements with unquestionable relations to the floras of the Asia Minor and Caucasus. The history of knowledge of this species is also described, especially its differentiation from T. linophyllon and T. arvense.
