Beitrag zur Dynamik der Kahlschlaggesellschaften

Succession of plant communities on extensive clearings in the Železné hory Mts., caused by wind calamities in the past 15 years, is described. Special attention was paid to the clearings after spruce plantations, in the sites originally covered by Abieti-Quercetum and Luzulo pilosae-Abietetum (Tables 1-3, Figs. 1-3). The successional changes were recorded annually by phytosociological relevés in permanent plots for 5-8 years. Furthemore, the change in cover of dominant species between successive years was used to record succession of natural forest communities.
