Abstract

An autogamous Epipactis taxon related to the E. leptochila group, discovered in the Strážovské vrchy Mts and Súľovske vrchy Mts. (Slovak Republic) is described as a new species Epipactis komoricensis Mereďa. Morphological characters distinguishing the new species from E. leptochila subsp. leptochila and subsp. neglecta are given. The recent distribution of E. leptochila subsp. neglecta in the western Carpathians is presented.
