Abstract

Diatom flora of the Lužnice river catchment was studied for the first time since 1924. In total, 106 diatom taxa were found in the water courses of the basin from České Velenice to Veselí nad Lužnicí during 1985-1987 and 1994-1995. The most interesting records include Navicula integra, Cyclotella cf. striata. Anomoeoneis sphaerophora, Aulacoseira distans, the former two representing the first reports from the territory of Bohemia.
