Směna dominant a rychlost sukcese

Several seres of both primary and secondary successions were compared. Average annual changes in the cover of dominant species were calculated for successive 5-year intervals. The rate of dominant exchange in the seres studied decreased in time and with increasing severity of habitats, i.e., with the lack of available water and nutrients.
