Abstract

The plant communities of the following species were distinguished on stony debris in colline to montane altitudinal belts of the Czech Republic: Cryptogramma crispa, Saxifraga sponhemica, Woodsia ilvensis, Polypodium vulgare, Saxifraga paniculata-Asplenium trichomanes, Galeopsis angustifolia, Gymnocarpium robertianum, Galium lucidum-Pimpinella major, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria, Anthericum liliago, Sedum sp. div., Allium montanum-Sedum sp. div., Melica ciliata-Teucrium botrys, Biscutella laevigata-Sesleria albicans, Impatiens-Geranium robertianum, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria-Calamagrostis arundinacea, Daphne mezereum-Dryopteris filix-mas , Dryopteris sp. div., Aconitum variegatum-Senecio germanicus, Polystichum aculeatum-Lunaria rediviva, Circarea alpina-Chrysosplenium alternifolium and Ribes alpinum-Rosa pendulina. The debris represent an autonomous biotope and vegetation unit. The problem of relict vegetation is discussed.
