Abstract

An analysis of available data leads to the conclusion that Ceratoides latens (J. F. GMELIN) REVEAL et N. HOLMGREN occurred in Czechoslovakia (southernmost Moravia) in the past; now it is extinct. A nomenclatural analysis showed that the name Ceratoides GAGNEBIN, when used in the sense of the first lectotype by DANDY (1958), is correct for this genus. The name Krascheninnikovia latens is shown to be the oldest legitimate name available as basionym for the species name.
