Dritte Reihe der Ergänzungen zur Trifolium-Monographie von Zohary und Heller (plantae hybridae)

A survey was made of the 22 alleged interspecific hybrids within the genus Trifolium described in the taxonomic literature or otherwise mentioned. The analysis demonstrated that under natural (non-experimental) conditions no reliable interspecific hybrid has been found hitherto in this extensive genus; such data referred to confusions with one of the supposed parental species. A collation with the literature on the experimental obtaining of interspecific hybrids confirms, indirectly, such a conclusion.
